Police: Man Verbally Berates Police During Investigation

Fraud
A victim on the 2100 block of Birchwood Ave. reported that an unknown person opened a Master Credit credit account in his name, police reports state. The incident occurred in 2012 and was previously unreported until June 2. 

Fraud
A victim on the 100 block of Park Ave. reported that she received a phone call on June 6 from who she believed to be her grandson. He stated that he was in trouble and needed money. The victim sent the requested amount of money via Western Union. She later found out that it was a scam, police reports state. 

Theft

A victim on the 400 block of Sunset Dr. reported 11 pieces of jewelry missing from from the residence, police reports state. The incident occurred between May 3 and May 13. The report notes that several caretakers have been in the residence during that time.

Theft

A victim reported that her son's unsecured bicycle was taken from the bike rack at Wilmette Jr. High School at 620 Locust Rd. The incident happened on June 6, police reports state.

Disorderly Conduct

A complainant on the 700 block of LaPorte Ave. called police on June 7 about a vehicle parked on the carriage walk across the street, reports state. An officer was diverted to another call and then returned. The complainant was agited about the response to the call. He verbally berated a telecommunicator and officers on the scene. During the response back it was alleged by the owner of the parked vehicle that the complainant threatened to 'bury him.' The original call resolved itself before police arrived.
