Police: Runner's Edge Broken Into

The following arrest information was provided by the Wilmette Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Burglary
Between July 10 and July 11, an unknown offender entered the unlocked detached garage at a home on the 2400 block of Concord Ln. The offender entered both of the resident's unlocked vehicles approximately $30 in change. The offender also removed a Diamondback bicycle.

Commercial Burglary
Officers responded to a call at Runner's Edge at 335 Ridge Rd. for an alarm activation in the early morning of July 13, police reports state. Upon arrivval, officers discovered that that the front glass door had been smashed out. A check of the premises found no one present. The offender(s) took the cash drawers from the two registers that combined approximately $33 in loose change and inactive gift cards.

Theft
A resident on the 2500 block of Iroquois Ave. reported that his rear license plate was missing from the vehicle, Wilmette police reports state. The victim stated that he was unsure of where and when the plate was taken.

Criminal Damage
A victim on the 800 block of 15th Ave. reported that on July 12, his vehicle was taken to the dealership due to a flat tire, police reports state. The dealer reported that his tire had been punctured by an unknown means or tool. The resident believes that sometime between July 1 and July 9, the tire was punctured and the victim believes that his wife's ex-husband is the possible offender.

Arrest
David P. Sachs, 48, of Wilmette is being charged with violation of an order or protection after he made threats to individuals, police reports state. He was processed for the arrest.
