Police: Three Men Arrested for Attempt to Sell Drugs

The following arrest information was provided by the Wilmette Police Department. When an arrest is mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Burglary to Garage
A resident on the 3100 block of Nina Ave. reported that someone removed a bike from his open garage on June 14, police reports state. 

Attempt to Deliver Controlled Substances
Steve Kim, 42, of Chicago, Mariusz Mach, 32, of Chicago and Ubertino Avalos, 35, of Cicero area all being charged with attempting to deliver controlled substances, police reports state. The arrests occurred after a drug investigation. The subjects were arrested on the 100 block of Green Bay Rd. on June 14. Kim and Mach were found with 1-15g of cocaine with intent to sell. Avalos was found with 1-5g of MDMA with intent to sell. 

Burglary to Auto
A guest of a resident on the 1500 block of Highland Ave. reported that someone removed a set of golf clubs from his unlocked vehicle while it was parked on the street on June 14, police reports state. 

Criminal Damage
A resident on the 2700 block of Birchwood Ave. reported to police that someone damaged her siding and cover for her air conditioner, police reports state. The incident occurred between June 13 and June 14. 

Car vs. Pedestrian Accident
A pedestrian was struck by car in the parking lot of Edens Plaza on May 15th, police report state.
