A look at how Wilmette and Kenilworth are showing support for those affected by the terror attack at the Boston Marathon.

Share your prayers, thoughts and concerns for those who were at the Boston Marathon, where two explosions are reported to have killed two people and injured more than 100.

The FBI is calling this a terrorist attack, according to CNN. Several eyewitnesses described the scene as "horrific."

Sen. Mark Kirk posted this message to his Facebook page: "My prayers today are for those at the Boston Marathon - a special thanks to our first responders on the scene."

"We pray and offer support to all in Boston that were affected by the explosions at the Boston Marathon today," the New Trier Republican Organization posted on the group's Facebook page. "It is worth noting that today is a holiday in Massachusetts, Patriots Day. It marks the Battles of Lexington and Concord, the start of our fight for Independence. As it was 238 years ago, America remains worth fighting for."

"Just heard about Boston," Wilmette native Rainn Wilson said on Twitter. "Unbelievably sad. So horrific. What monsters."
