St. Joseph Women's Club Becomes Victims of Fraud
The following arrest information was supplied by the Wilmette Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Burglary to Garage
A resident on the 1100 block of Wilmette Ave. reported that an unknown offender(s) stole a bicycle from the residence between July 13 and 14. The bike was locked to a wall mounted mike rack in front of her parking space in the garage of the building.
Fraud
A member of the St. Joseph Women's Club at 1747 Lake Ave. reported that on May 24, an unknown person cashed a check sent to another party that never received the check. The incident was reported to police on July 14.
Theft
A resident on the 1200 block of Laurel Ave. reported on July 14 that the neighbor's daughter, who dog sits for the resident, took one of her necklaces, police reports state. The resident will talk to the parents and does not want to report it at the time.
