Theft at Michigan Shores Country Club

The following arrest information was supplied by the Wilmette Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Residential Burglary
A resident on the 400 block of Brookside Ave. was reportedly the victim of a ruse burglary, according to Wilmette Police reports. A subject contacted the victim and identified himself as a contractor performing work next door. The subject distracted the victim, and after 20 minutes the subject left. The front door of the house was left open. The victim later noticed that jewelry was missing from an upstairs bedroom. The incident occurred on July 16.

Theft
A victim at Michigan Shores Country Club. reported that she set her cell phone down near the front doors as she was leaving for the night. When she returned to retrieve the phone, she discovered that it was missing.

Theft
Three bicycles were taken from the backyard of a home on the 400 block of Sheridan Ave., police reports state. The unsecured bikes were stolen between July 16 through July 17.

Theft
An unsecured bike was taken from the rear yard of a house on the 1400 block of Lake Ave., police reports state. The incident occurred between July 16 and July 17.

Criminal Damage
A custodian at McKenzie School found the latch to a refrigerator door damaged and the door left open, causing the food inside to spoil, police reports state. The incident occurred between June 11 and July 17.
