Treat Yourself at Chuck Wagon, Meet Local Politicians
Here's what you need to know for this Wednesday.
Know: FEMA has extended the registration deadline for those affected by the storms and flooding of April and May. The new deadline is today. More information is available here.
Eat: It's hump day — treat yourself to a Niki at Chuck Wagon! It's a cheeseburger with gyro meat on top of it, and is a favorite of many New Trier students. Feeling extra fancy? Get a double Niki — a double cheeseburger with double gyro meat on top.
Do: Venture across the border to Evanston for the Music Institute of Chicago Chorale's 10th annual summer sing-a-long. More information is available online here.
Plan: Meet your local politicians at the Bottle Shop on Thurs. from 6 to 8 p.m. The event is sponsored by the New Trier Democrats, and includes a representative from Congressman Brad Schneider's team, State Rep. Robyn Gabel, Cook County Commissioner Larry Suffredin and Metropolitan Water Reclamation District Commissioner Debra Schoreand. The meeting is free — and so is the pizza. Background music is provided by Rick Frank.
