Wilmette Doctor Ranked Among Top Doctors in America

Dr. Joshua J. Jacobs, Wilmette resident, as well as a hip-and-knee replacement specialist at Rush Hospital, Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedics Surgery at Rush Medical College and President of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons was voted among the Top Doctors in America by U.S. News and World Report and Castle Connolly (a healthcare research information company). This puts Jacobs in the top one percent of orthopedic specialists in the nation.

Jacobs has also published extensively on the topic of materials used for prosthetic devices for hip and knee replacements. He's been published more than 200 peer-review manuscripts, co-edited five book and co-authored over 35 book chapters. He's  also an active volunteer in the orthopedic education and research ccommunity, and has won several research awards, including the Ann Doner Vaughan Kappa Delta Award.
