Several area towns — including Skokie, Evanston and Deerfield — have been debating passing gun bans or regulations for their communities.
Patch asked Wilmette readers if they'd like to see a ban passed in the town, and commenters weighed in against the village passing a ban.
Village Board President Bob Bielinski told Patch that there are currently no plans to discuss regulating guns in Wilmette.
"There are no plans to discuss a ban at an upcoming Wilmette Village Board meeting," Bielinski said in an email.
Bielinski could not be reached for further comment.
