An Irish Christmas

Ring in the yuletide season with Chicago's favorite Irish Tenor, Paddy Homan, who is bringing his solo concert An Irish Christmas to the Wilmette Theater. The one night only performance will be Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 8:00pm.

This wonderful holiday concert is a celebration of songs, music and stories of a true Irish Christmas. Featuring an Irish medley of different carols and songs, An Irish Christmas will inspire theatergoers to ring in Christmas in a celebratory spirit. Homan will be performing several songs off his new cd “The Hard Way Home” as well as some traditional Christmas favorites with his very own Irish stamp including “Holy Night” and “Silent Night." An Irish Christmas is a fun-filled Irish feast for the whole family.

“We look as forward to Paddy's concert as his fans do each year,” said theater director Carole Dibo. “His spirit and talent light up the Wilmette Theatre.” Homan will be joined by two incredibly talented performers: Kathleen Keane, a multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter and composer who ignites audiences with her potent combination of extraordinary music and classic beauty; and Dennis Cahill, who recently performed at The White House, is regarded as perhaps one of the best in the business with Irish music.

Having been transplanted from the great County Cork in Ireland to the great County Cook in Illinois, Paddy Homan has adopted Chicago as his home. Homan’s passionate delivery of Irish songs, and deep knowledge of the history of these songs, has attracted appreciative notice from Irish music critics, fellow musicians and an ever-widening audience in Chicagoland and the USA. A master entertainer, Paddy brings to Chicago a vast repertoire of songs from Ireland in addition stories and a quick-witted Cork humor. Since his arrival five years ago, Paddy Homan has performed with many of the talented and internationally known Irish musicians that make Chicago such a vibrant city.
