The Gray Duo will perform a diverse

repertoire of classical music during the Wilmette Community Photography

Exhibit opening reception.  The exceptionally talented and accomplished musical

siblings, violinist and violist Erika Gray and cellist

Johannes Gray of Wilmette, will delight reception

attendees with their musical skills, energy and passion.  Erika, age 17, is both

concertmaster of the New Trier High School Chamber Orchestra and principal

violist of its Symphony Orchestra.  Her brother, Johannes, age 16, principal

cellist of the New Trier Symphony and Chamber Orchestras, has also been a

featured soloist with a number of orchestras, including the Chicago Symphony

Orchestra, Highland Park Strings and Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra.  Both Erika

and Johannes won the New Trier Concerto Competition as sophomores, in 2012 and

2013 respectively.  This summer Erika toured Russia and London as a member of

the inaugural National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America.  Both

musicians participated in the Sejong International Music Festival at the Curtis

Institute of Music in Philadelphia in August.  Their string quartet, 'Quartet

Stracciatella', was the Gold medal winner in the 2012 Fischoff National Chamber

Music Competition and was featured on NPR's From The Top radio

program.   (Photo Caption:
