Beethoven's "Appassionata" Sonata

In 1807 few could understand the full pianistic perfection of The 'Appassionata' Sonata. This amazing work was not performed until some 35 years after Beethoven's death. Discover the heights and depths of musical utterances, from humorous to emotional torrents. A discussion on the history of the piano will be included, highlighting how the pianos of Beethoven's time were challenged by the technical and artistic demands of performing Beethoven's music.  Jim Kendros presents the lecture.
