Claudette Colbert: Unflappable Heroine of Romantic Comedy

Richard Klein, Retired Librarian & Researcher, presents a lecture about Claudette Colbert.  She appeared in over 60 feature films, was the epitome of self-sufficient and graceful sophistication. Comfortable in dramatic roles, Claudette's forte was romantic comedy. During her multi-decade career in films, Claudette also appeared on theatre, radio, and television. Her leading men included Fred MacMurray, Charles Boyer, Ray Milland, Orson Welles, Don Ameche, and Melvin Douglas, along with many superb character actors. Return to Hollywood's Golden Age through this perennially modern actress!
