COMEDY AT THE METTEIN ASSOCIATION WITH CHICAGO UNDERGROUND COMEDYPRESENTS ADAM BURKE A critically acclaimed monthly stand-up comedy series on the second Saturday of each month featuring full length headlining and feature sets from the absolute best comics in Chicago, a Chicago Tribune Best Bet and Time Out Chicago Magazine Critics' Pick. For these shows the Wilmette Theatre has partnered with Chicago Underground Comedy, which the Chicago Tribune called "one of the hottest shows in town" and Chicago Magazine raved, "the hippest, hottest stand-up showcase to emerge in years." We are thrilled to present ChUC's top local comedians in headlining shows on our stage every month!Originally from the UK, Adam Burke's absurdist, verbose comedy covers not only the vagaries of life in his adopted hometown of Chicago, but also the usefulness of mammoths, dogs who study law, and the importance of gangland grammar. He was recently listed as one of the Top Four Stand-Up Comedians in Chicagoby Comedy.com and has appeared on WGN radio as well at the Bridgetown Comedy Festival in Portland OR, and as part of the TBS Just For Laughs Festival in Chicago for three years running Adam has opened for a wide variety of comedians including Jeff Ross, Maria Bamford, Doug Benson, Bo Burnham, BrendonBurns, and Robin Williams.   Burke's debut comedy album, "Universal Squirrel Theory" will be released via iTunAmazon and other outlets on October 2nd, 2012  21+.  Specialty Beed Wine from The Bottle Shop will be sold. Saturday, October 13 @ 9:00pmTickets $12tickets available online at www.wilmettetheatre.com or call Box Office at 847-251-7424
