Do the Math National Tour Event

“Do the Math” is a galvanizing new campaign led by environmental author and activist Bill McKibben, cultural critic Naomi Klein, Bishop Desmond Tutu, and environmental scientist James Hansen.

Based on McKibben’s widely read Rolling Stone article “Global Warming’s Terrifying New Math”, the tour aims to catalyze a global movement to address the climate crisis and challenge the power of the fossil-fuel industry head-on. Traveling the U.S this fall, 350.org founder McKibben brings together a revolving cast of speakers, activists, and musicians along with some of the world’s leading thinkers, visionaries, and change-makers in an interdisciplinary program designed to transform our economic landscape and inspire people to take action commensurate with the scale of the climate crisis.

On Nov. 28th, Bill will be in Chicago to lay out the terrifying new math of climate change, explaining the incredible odds we face, and the difficult path we must walk in the coming years to create a livable future for our planet.
