Globalization and Us: Myths and Realities (NSSC Class)

Globalization is an important phenomenon of growing concern and debate both in the United States and overseas. There can be no doubt that our world is more interconnected than in the past. At the same time, myriad misconceptions and misinformation plague accurate understanding of this important phenomenon - and implications for our country. This course will break globalization down into component parts and discuss how our world is changing - and how things actually are remaining the same. Above all, whether or not globalization represents a threat to American prosperity and national security will be discussed.  Instructor: Arthur Cyr, Ph.D., Director, Clausen Center for World Business, Carthage College
