The College Challenge

Do you want to be a theatre major in college?
Insecurities! Fear! Approaching the unknown! - sound familiar?  These are recurring feelings for both students and parents pursuing theatre at the college level. The key is in attaining theright information, unique to each applicant and family, in order toprepare, organize and select which programs may be right for you. This introductory forum, led by Janet Louer and Carole Dibo, provides insights on how to identify, clarify, and take the anxiety out of the admission/audition application process .

Parents and students will spend the morning receiving a detailed overview of the pros and cons of a BFA Conservatory program versus a BA, BM or BS Liberal Arts program, the differences among various programs as well as other questions and answers.

After a 40 minute break guests from Northwestern, DePaul and Roosevelt Universities will take part in an panel discussion about their particular admission process.
