The Performer's School to perform at Wilmette Summerfest




THE PERFORMER'S SCHOOL SCHEDULED TO PERFORM AT THE WILMETTE SUMMERFEST KIDS AREA, ST. AUGUSTINE CHURCH, 1140 WILMETTE AVENUE 
SAT.JULY 12th 1pm 
Highwood Based Professional Performing Arts School to Sing at 1PM with Class Demo by founders Stacey Flaster and Liz Fauntleroy (Performers Grades 5-8)

(Highwood, Il--June 24, 2014--) The Performer's School, a Professional Performing Arts School housed at the Highwood Rec Center, 432 Greenbay Road, Highwood Il. announces its performance at the Wilmette Summerfest on Sat. July 12th 1pm. The performance and class demo will take place at the Kids Area located at St. Augustine Church, 1140 Wilmette Avenue, Wilmette.The school  founded by theatre professionals Stacey Flaster and Liz Fauntleroy offers classes for K-12 during the School Year, Guest Artist Workshops (Ages 10 and up) and Summer Camps (ages 10 and up) and is launching its Performance Company, The Ensemble in Fall 2014. The Ensemble composed of grades 5-8 will feature 25-30 performers from all over The North Shore and will perform two shows during the 2014-2015 school year.
The performers for The Wilmette Summerfest are:

These 5-8th graders will be singing concert style versions of Broadway and popular songs and then the founders of The Performer's School, Stacey Flaster and Liz Fauntleroy will talk about all The Performer's School has to offer ages 3 and up.

STACEY FLASTER, co-owner of Style Theatrical Casting, most recently directed and choreographed Cabaret for Light Opera Works and the Jeff Award winning production of A Class Act for Porchlight Theatre. As a director/choreographer, Flaster’s credits include Godspell, Little Shop of Horrors, The Wiz, Jesus Christ Superstar (Broadway World Award, Best Musical and Best Choreography), Footloose, Cats (Jeff Nomination, Best Choreography), A Wonderful Life and Nunset Boulevard for Theatre at the Center; Joseph…Dreamcoat and Route 66 for Paramount Theatre; Married Alive for Metropolis Performing Arts Center, and Carousel and The Secret Garden for Light Opera Works. Her students have gone on to appear in productions at Drury Lane Oakbrook, Marriott Lincolnshire Theatre, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Steppenwolf, Light Opera Works and Northlight. As a performer, Ms. Fauntleroy’s career includes over 30 operas with The Lyric Opera of Chicago and other credits including: Mame, Evita, Pirates of Penzance, Beauty and the Beast, My Emperor’s New Clothes, Phantom, Kismet, Phantom of the Country Palace, Nutcracker Now and The Sound of Music, all at The Marriott Theatre. She has also performed extensively with Drury Lane Oakbrook and Chicago Opera Theater. Elizabeth was the children’s musical director for the 2009 Chicago tour of the The Wizard of Oz, and helped cast the Chicago cast of the acclaimed TV series “The Glee Project.”
