Tiffany Exhibit at the Driehaus Museum (NSSC Day Trip)

Steps away from Chicago’s Magnificent Mile, The Driehaus Museum offers a fascinating view of one of the few remaining examples of the palatial homes erected  in 19th century Gilded Age by America's wealthy. A guided tour showcases more than 60 never-before-exhibited stained glass windows, lamps, vases, accessories, and furnishings. The tour will include explanations of the design and manufacturing processes used by the Louis Comfort Tiffany Studios to create these breathtaking objects. You will have an opportunity to visit other rooms, elegantly furnished with period pieces.  Lunch will be at the Grand Lux Café. Fee includes entrance fee, tour fee, lunch and transportation.  Please call 847/784-6030 to register.  The cost is $79 for members and $95 for non-members.  Departure from the Northfield location is at 10:00 a.m., with return approximately 3:30 p.m.
