Katie Davis Memorial Blood Drive

Katie Davis Memorial Blood Drive - held twice each year to honor the memory of Kenilworth resident Katie Davis.  In the early 1990s, Katie suffered from a childhood cancer, and was kept alive through the generosity of many blood donors.  She ultimately lost her battle, but the drives started to meet her needs continue to help others facing serious illnesses.  In the last 18 years, over 2500 individuals have benefited from this blood drive.  Appointments are available through Lifesource (www.lifesource.org) or contact Drive organizer Anne Bird at 312-816-0709.  Walk-ins are welcome.
