North Shore’s Environmental Fair Attracted More Than 1,000 People

Go Green Wilmette hosted the event, which attracted other Go Green groups from Kenilworth, Glencoe, Winnetka and Northfield.

 

Organizers of Wilmette’s Going Green Matters environmental fair say the event was a success and attracted more than 700 people from the North Shore, 20 elected officials, 182 exhibitors and other Go Green groups from Kenilworth, Glencoe, Winnetka and Northfield, Wilmette Life reported.

Go Green Wilmette organized the March 10 event, which featured a salon for officials and locals to brainstorm on ways to improve Wilmette’s environmental efforts and also showcased the event’s largest ever display of environmentally friendly automobiles and electric bicycles, Wilmette Life reported.
