Wilmette Home Sales in August
August homes sales in Wilmette were relatively strong in spite of the fact that it is traditionally one of the slowest months of the year.
Wilmette had 48 single family home sales close in August. This was an increase of 17% over August of 2011. Prices ranged from $280,000 to $1,550,000 with a median price of $736,000. 28 Wilmette homes went under contract in August. August is traditionally a strong month for closings, and that was the case this year, but is one of the slower months for new contracts. While 28 contracts is fewer than this year’s hot spring and early summer months, it is a big improvement over August in 2011 and 2010 which saw 18 and 16 contracts respectively. Moreover, we see continued strength in the Wilmette's Real Estate market. Below are the closed sales for August:
