Horror Fun Coming Soon

I talked to local tv horror host Undead Johnny (Chad Byers) in anticipation of the upcoming Halloween Spooktakular at the Wilmette Theatre.

Since I will be covering the Days of the Dead convention (Nov. 16-18) for a few websites, I started to do some early research.  I saw that local legend Undead Johnny would be there.  Then I learned that the Wilmette Theater was holding “The World of the Weird Monster Show Live Halloween Spooktakular” featuring Undead Johnny on October 26-27.  Wanting to get the whole story, I contacted Undead Johnny (Chad Byers).

I met Chad at the Wilmette Theater.  I must add, there is just something very cool about being in an empty theater, but I digress.

I learned that the Halloween Spooktacular consists of double features on each night.  Both nights will have the Rocky Horror Picture Show, with a different second film each night.  Friday is Shaun of the Dead and Saturday is Ghostbusters.  There will be costume contests and other fun.  Undead Johnny and the rest of the cast will also be on hand to add to the fun.

Three weeks from then, on November 16-18, Undead Johnny will be appearing at the Days of the Dead convention in Schaumburg.  Chicago area resident Adolfo Dorta debuted Days of the Dead last year in Indianapolis and Schaumburg will be the third additional city added (after Atlanta and Los Angeles).

As Undead Johnny, Byers, along with the rest of the cast, puts out some great entertainment.  Both of these events are a great opportunity to meet the cast and to have a lot of fun.

I will be attending both the Halloween Spooktakular and the Days of the Dead convention.  I am sure I will have plenty of stories to share and I will bring them right here.
