Halloween is cancelled on this popular yard display on Lawndale Street in Wilmette. Going with the theme of the partial government shutdown, six foot chain link fence has been installed around the display.
The exhibit consists of many orange lights and pumpkins. The unique feature are many life size characters with rubber masks, mostly politicians and celebrities. They include President Barack Obama, Senator Ted Cruz, House Speaker John Boehner, Mayor Rahm Emanuel, and Ex-Governor Rod Blagojevich. The celebrities include Willie from hit cable tv show Duck Dynasty, Walter White from Breaking bad, Robin Thicke from MTV, and Miley Cyrus doing some twerking.
Due to the "G" rating with many kids on the block, there will be no Anthony Weiners, Carlos Dangers, or anybody else in a hot dog costume.
An interactive play phone has been added at the front gate to sign up for Obamacare, that is the Affordable Care Act if you have not been reading the papers.
A compromise is near to end the shut down, so stop by 208 Lawndale in Wilmette for a look at this wicked front lawn.
No worries, funding has been found for candy next Thursday, October 31, 2013 between 4-8pm, Trick or Treat!
Happy Halloween, shutdown or not!
