Obituary: Brian C. Baker

September 14, 1954 - December 16, 2012

Brian C. Baker, of Wilmette, founder and president of Vestor Capital, LLC, a Focus Financial Partner, passed away Sunday at the age of 58.

Brian received his Bachelor of Science Degree in business administration, accounting and finance from Georgetown University and his Juris Doctor from Notre Dame University. His talents and leadership abilities called him to serve on the boards and various committees at Dairymen’s Inc., Michigan Shores Club, Regina Dominican High School, Saint Francis Xavier Parish, Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth, and Westmoreland Country Club.

Loving husband of Linda Baker nee Wolf; devoted father of Brian, Jr. (Laura), Matthew, Carolyn and Katherine Baker; beloved son of Ann and George Baker; son in law of Kenneth and the late Florence Wolf; dear brother of George, Jr. (Frieda) Baker, Laurie Baker Foster, John (Eileen) Baker and Susan (Larry) Ramsey; brother in law of Kenneth, Jr. (Jane) Wolf, Sally (Richard) Zande and Thomas (Michelle) Wolf; fond uncle of numerous nieces and nephews; loyal and trusting friend to many.

Visitation will be held Today, Wednesday, Dec. 19, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Donnellan Family Funeral Home, 10045 Skokie Blvd., at Old Orchard Road, Skokie. The Funeral Mass will be tomorrow, Thursday, Dec. 20, at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church, 524 9th St., Wilmette. Interment at All Saints Cemetery, 700 N. River Rd., Des Plaines.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Regina Dominican High School, 701 Locust St., Wilmette, to Loyola Academy, 1100 Laramie, Wilmette, or to St. Francis Xavier Parish, 524 9th. St., Wilmette.
