Obituary: Ralph J. McKee, Longtime Wilmette Resident

Ralph J. McKee, 84, a longtime Wilmette resident, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 30.

Beloved husband of Diana F. Madden and the late Kathleen A. McKee; loving father of Steve (Yvonne), Diane McKee-Atkinson, Tom (Mary), Kevin (Christine), Brian (Liz), Shelley (Dan) Cain and the late Ralph Jr. “Chip”; devoted grandfather of Erin, Matt, Ben, Maureen, Ralph III, Katie, Tom Jr., Keara, Samantha, Emily, Madeline, Brian Jr., Kathleen , Nicole, Danny, Michael and Andrew; great grandfather of Joseph, Hunter, Matthew and Elena; step father and grandfather to the Madden family (42 in all); dear brother of the late Barbara Handley and the late George McKee.

Ralph was born in the Bronx borough of New York City and moved to Wilmette in 1962. Ralph had a successful career at Montgomery Ward and was a beloved starter at the Wilmette Golf Course for almost 20 years. He was very involved at St. Francis Parish with the Ministry of Care and the Saint Vincent DePaul Society, he also served as Past President of the Loyola Academy Ramble charity function.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 9:30 a.m. and will last until the time of the Funeral Mass, which will be held at 11:30 a.m. at Saint Francis Xavier Church, 524 9th St., Wilmette.

The interment will take place at All Saints Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Saint Vincent DePaul Society, care of Saint Francis Xavier Church, 524 9th St., Wilmette.
