He was a WWII veteran, longtime American Legion member and active in the Wilmette Memorial Day Parade and Lions Club.

Roy Batterham

January 14, 1928 - June 23, 2014

Roy Batterham age 86 of Wilmette. Army Veteran World War II, member for 25 years of American Legion Huerter Post serving as commander 9 times. Roy was active in the Wilmette Memorial Day Parade, Lions Club, 42 year employee of the Postal Service and the Postal Union. 

Beloved husband of the late Georgene E. Batterham; loving father of the late Ron (Susan) Batterham and the late Kathleen (Russell) Abramowicz; cherished grandfather of Robert (Karen) Batterham and Catie (Curtis) Castillo; great grandfather of Anthony and Tristen Castillo and Kaleb and Joshua Batterham; fond brother of Lillian and the late John and Bill; dear companion of Maureen Clarke.
