Letter to the Editor: Thank The Fire Department this Season

The following is a letter to the editor from Adam L. of Wilmette.

While we are celebrating the holidays with our family and friends, it is important to remember those who cannot. Instead of spending time with friends and family, firefighters are celebrating with their second family, their fellow firefighters.

Most of us are lucky not to need the assistance of the , but it is important to remember that they are always available for the residents of Wilmette. They're happy to help with something as simple as resetting a fire alarm to something as intricate as administering top quality medical care to a person having a medical emergency. Firefighters risk their lives for others every single day they go to work. Please take some time this holiday season to thank the fire department for all they do.
