A resident on the 2900 block of Orchard Ln. reported that between April 8 and April 12, an unknown person attempted to open a charge account in her name, police reports state.

A victim on the 1300 block of Wilmette Ave. reported that credit and debit cards were used by an unknown person between April 5 and April 12, reports state. The cards were cancelled and replaced.
Assault

A postal employee and his trainee reported that he was assaulted on the 2000 block of Wilmette Ave., police reports state. The postal worker had previously sprayed the resident's dog with OC.
Driving Under the Influence
Matthew T. Ellison, 25, of Chicago is being charged with driving under the influence, according to Wilmette Police reports. Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on the 1100 block of Lake Ave. on April 13, police reports state. The driver was discovered to be intoxicated and was placed under arrest, transported and processed. His BAC was found to be .127. He was bonded out.
