Bicyclist Hit on Wilmette Ave.

The following arrest information was supplied by the Wilmette Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Retail Theft
Ricky Clark, 19, of Evanston is being charged with retail theft, according to Wilmette Police reports. Officers responded to a call from a pawn shop at 1409 Lake Ave. that a subject was possibly pawning stolen merchandise. They found that the merchandise — a saw and cordless drill — were taken from Millen's Hardware. Clark was processed and released on bond. 

Driver Strikes Bicyclist
A 61-year-old driver from Scottsdale, AZ was traveling westbound on Wilmette Ave. when they struck a bicyclist that was traveling east bound. The 45-year-old victim, an Evanston resident, was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver was cited for failure to yield. 

Burglary to Motor Vehicle
A victim at the Michigan Shores Country Club reported that he left his wallet, watch, cell phone and glasses in a plastic pouch in his vehicle on August 17. The victim stated that he locked his car, but when he returned, the wallet and watch were missing. 

Theft
A victim rode his bike to work at the Backyard Barbecue Store on August 16. He parked the unsecured bike in the rear of the building. When he returned later, the bike was missing. 

Damage to Property
A victim on the 600 block of LaPorte Ave. reported that the rear window of his vehicle was broken on August 16. The victim told police that a workman replacing the garage door may have broken it, reports state.
