Burglaries, Property Damages Prompt Police Alert

Wilmette police issued an e-alert Monday afternoon.

A series of burglaries and property damages at the end of September and start of October have prompted an e-alert from .

BURGLARY
A home in the 3100 block of Hill Lane was burglarized on Sept. 27 between 6:30 a.m. and 9 p.m. Offender(s) took jewlery and cash from the home.

Offender(s) attempted to burglarize a home in the 3100 block of Hill Lane between Sept. 27 and Sept. 28. Offender(s) The residents reported that someone tried to force the lock of the rear door and pry open the rear, as well as side door to the home.

Residents in the 600 block of Knox Avenue reported that an unknown offender tried to gain entry to their home on Sept. 25 at 2:57 p.m. The homeowners said someone damaged the lock of a side door.

An unknown offender smashed out the glass of the frnt door of Fannie Mae, 1515 Sheridan Rd., on Oct. 1 between 2:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. The suspect stole cash from the store. During this investigation, police discovered that the same offender had broken several glass panels on the front door of Spa Tres Bien Nails. Nothing was taken.

A resident in the 1400 block of Maple Avenue reported that an unknown offender stole an unlocked KHS Alite 40 bicycle from the garage between Sept. 20 and Sept. 22.

A parked car in the 300 block of Ridge Road was burglarized between Sept. 29 and Sept. 30. The offender took power tools from the vehicle. The owner told police the car was locked, but discovered them to be unlocked after the incident. There were no forced entry signs.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE   
Four CTA Train cars were graffitied between Sept. 30 and Oct. 3.

An unknown offender damaged potted plants outside of , 1115 Central Ave., between Sept. 24 and Sept. 26.

A resident in the 2000 block of Washington Avenue reported that someone broke out the driver's side window of his vehicle between Sept. 23 and Sept. 24.
