Former Wilmette Golf Pro Pleads Guilty to Computer Tampering

Dennis R. Callaghan was sentenced to 18 months of probation after pleading guilty, Chicago Tribune reported.

Dennis R. Callaghan, a former Wilmette Park District golf pro, was sentenced to 18 months of probation Monday after pleading guilty to one count of computer tampering stemming from charges that he used a park district computer to create gift cards without the district’s permission, Chicago Tribune reported.

Callaghan, 51,  was arrested in June 2011 after a yearlong investigation led to fraud and computer tampering charges that alleged the Northbrook resident stole more than $10,000 from the park district--he resigned in August of 2011, the newspaper reported.
