Driving Under the Influence

Manuel Sinchi, 43, 1145 Florence, Evanston, was charged July 21 with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop in the 500 block of Green Bay Road. He was issued an Aug. 15 court date in Skokie.

Criminal Damage to Property

An object was thrown through the window of a home in the 600 block of Exmoor Road on July 22. No damage estimate was provided.

Suspicious Incident

A man went to a home in the 300 block of Abbotsford Road and told the owner he was there to do cabinetwork. The homeowner said no work was scheduled and the man left the area after the homeowner refused entry into the home.

A child says a man in his 40s driving an older Lexus car called out from his car to “get in the car” on July 16. The child left the area and told a parent about the incident, who later reported it to the police.
