Kenilworth Police Blotter: Two $500 Bikes Stolen

Bike Theft

Two bikes valued at a total of more than $1,000 were stolen from an unlocked garage in the 200 block of Essex Road sometime between the overnight hours of June 11 and 12, according to police. Evanston Police Department recovered one of the bikes on June 12.

Possession of Cannabis

Maxwell Rice, 20, 546 Westley Rd., Glencoe, was issued a village ordinance citation June 13 for possession of cannabis following a traffic stop in the 600 block of Green Bay Road, police said.

Criminal Damage to Property

A resident reported hearing the sound of breaking glass near her home in the 600 block of Abbotsford Road sometime during the overnight hours of June 13 and 14, police said. In the morning, the resident discovered a small front window was damaged, but police said it does not appear that a forced entry attempt occurred.
