Limousine Burglarized, Crime Alert Issued

Following several auto break-ins during the past week, Wilmette Police have issued their second crime alert since Monday.

The notification comes after a lap top and cell phone were taken from a locked limousine in the west parking lot of between 7:40 p.m. and 8:05 p.m. Wednesday. Offenders entered the vehicle by breaking out a front passenger window, according to police reports.

Earlier this week, four auto burglaries occured overnight between Sunday and Monday, while three cars parked in the Centennial Lot were broken into, prompting police to issue the first crime alert.
