Traffic Dispute Leads To Battery at Fresh Market

A 47-year-old Wilmette resident told police that he was the victim of a battery at Fresh Market, 3232 Lake Ave., following a traffic dispute around 9:30 a.m. Sunday, March 24. The man said the offender stopped his car in front of the store, blocking his path. He gave the offender an offensive hand gesture as he drove around the offender to park. The offender then decided to follow him into the store, to “rough him up, ” police said, and slapped him on the shoulder. Since the offender apologized to the man, he decided not to file a complaint.

Lincolnwood Man Arrested on Warrant

Ryan C. Andre, 29, of the 7200 block of North Tripp in Lincolnwood, turned himself in to police on a Wilmette warrant at 10:47 p.m. Monday, March 25, and was found to have two Cook County warrants for violation of probation, police said. 

Chicago Man Arrested For Driving With Suspended License

Alberto Valdivia, 38, of the 4400 block of North Hamlin in Chicago, was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license at 12:28 p.m. Monday, March 25, in the 2000 block of Lake, according to police. 

Stolen Auto Found in Wilmette

Police discovered a stolen vehicle in the 1900 block of Birchwood at 5 p.m. Friday, March 22. The car was stolen from the 2100 block of East Touhy Avenue in Des Plaines at 11:10 p.m. previous day, police said.

Three Cases of Credit Card Fraud

A resident of the 1600 block of Elmwood Avenue reported that someone made unauthorized purchases using his credit card number at 10 a.m. Friday, March 22, according to police. 

A resident of the 2200 block of Kenilworth Avenue also reported that someone made unauthorized purchases with his credit card information at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, police said.

A resident of the 1000 block of Ridge Avenue reported that someone made unauthorized purchases using her credit card information at 4 p.m. Monday, March 18, according to police.

Stolen “TV Weekly”

A resident of the 800 block of Leamington told police she believes someone has been taking her copy of TV Weekly Magazine from her driveway.
