Police: 19-Year-Old Arrested for D.U.I.

The following arrest information was provided by the Wilmette Police Department. When an arrest is mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Burglary to Auto

A resident on the 1500 block of Wilmette Ave. reported that between May 14 and May 15, and unknown offender(s) entered her unlocked vehicle overnight and went through all of the compartments of the vehicle, police reports state. The only item missing was a pair of Bose in-ear headphones.

Theft at the L-Station

A resident on the 100 block of Prairie Ave. reported that unknown offender(s) took his mothers locked bike from the bike rack at the Linden L Station at 339 Linden Ave. sometime between May 10 and May 15, police reports state.

D.U.I.

Kelly Minx, 19, of Glenview is being charged with driving under the influence, Wilmette Police reports state. Minx was pulled over for traffic violations at the intersecton of Lake Ave. and Brandon Rd. The driver failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody, according to police reports. She agreed to take a breath test and was found to have a BAC of .142. She was later released on an I-Bond.

Fraud

A 27-year-old Fox Lake resident reported that someone has used her name for prescriptions at the Eden's Plaza Walgreens without her permission, Wilmette Police reports state. She believes that the offender is a Wilmette resident that she was in rehab with, reports state. The incident occurred between Dec. 28 and Jan 15.

Theft

An employee at the Baker Demonstration School at 201 Sheridan Rd. reported that unknown offender(s) took $40 and her iPhone 4s, police reports state. She believes that the offender(s) are kids attending the school, but has no one specifically in mind.

Identity Theft

Loversia Nelson, 26, of Chicago was taken into custody for identity theft, Wilmette Police reports state. Wilmette Detectives took Nelson into custody for identity theft and received approval of charges on May 16.
