Police: Craigslist Ad Leads to Wilmette Drug Bust

A Vernon Hills man was caught with marijuana after police responded to a Craigslist ad.

Howard L. Schneider, 42, of Vernon Hills learned a rough lesson about posting things to the Internet this week, after police gave him a local ordinace ticket for possession of less than 10 grams of marijuana - after they found him discussing the drugs in a Craigslist post, according to the Pioneer Press

The article states that a Wilmette detective who was checking Craigslist.com postings saw an advertisement under the "Casual Encounters" section. The ad was titled "New years day pillow princess420," and allegedly promised to provide marijuana (which the ad referred to as "a huge thick fat joint of kush") in exchange for oral sex. The detective answered the ad under a false female name, and met Schneider who reportedly had marijuana in the trunk of his car. Schneider's court date is set for Feb. 4 in Skokie.
