Police: Garden at St. John's Church Damaged

The following arrest information was provided by the Wilmette Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Theft
The clinic manager at Massage Envy reported that a customer attempted to pay her bill with a fraudulent gift card, police reports state. When she was told that the gift card wasn't valid, she left without paying the bill. Reports state that the credit card used to make the appointment was also found to not be a valid credit card number. 

Criminal Damage
A volunteer at St. John's Lutheran Church reported that between Sept. 3 and Sept. 4, an unknown offender pulled two plants out of the Memorial Garden at the Northeast corner of the property. 

Theft
The owner of Wilmette Bicycle and Sport reported that on Sept. 1, the owner was preparing his deposit when he observed a check that appeared to be written over the original amount. The business contacted the account holder and it appears that the checks were stolen, reports state. 

Criminal Damage
A resident on the 1900 block of Green Wood Ave. reported that on Sept. 5, the driver side rear window was smashed out apparently by a subject hanging out on the block. The break-in appears to have been an attempt to retrieve a purse that was visible in the car, police reports state. 

Traffic Arrest
Roman Jimenez, 33, of Glenview is being charged with driving with a suspended driver's license, police reports state. Jimenez was stopped at the intersection of Lake and Kaywood on Sept. 5.
