Police: Wilmette Woman Charged with Driving with BAC of .219

Burglary to Garage

A resident on the 1400 block of Maple Ave. reported that an unknown offender(s) entered her unsecured garage and removed three bikes and one scooter between April 24 and April 25, police reports state.

A resident on the 1600 block of Sheridan Ave. reported that on Jan. of 2008, an unknown offender(s) had gained online access to his Sprint cellular account, police reports state. The access was cancelled by Sprint and he was then able to gain online access to his Sprint account.

Theft

A Glenview resident reported that on the morning of April 26, she took her son to a gymnastics class at the Wilmette Rec. Center, police reports state. She placed her purse on the table in the room and later found that her wallet was missing. The wallet was later found by the vending machines minus $105 dollars. 

Driving Under the Influence

Angelique Zanon, 35, of Wilmette is being charged with driving under the influence, according to Wilmette Police reports. Zanon was pulled over in the 2700 block of Lake St. for traffic violations. After failing field sobriety tests, she was taken into custody for DUI. Zanon agreed to to take a breath test, and was found to have a BAC of .219. She was processed and released on bond. 

Commercial Burglary

Officers responded to an alarm at JP McCarthy's Pizza on the 400 block of 4th st. on April 28 and discovered that the rear window of the business had been broken and the business entered, police reports state. The cash drawer was located outside of the business. It appears that cash was taken and liquor was moved by the offender while inside. 

Burglary

Numerous landscaping vehicles at the Attic Storage Facility — at 3510 Lake St. — were entered overnight between April 25 and April 26, police reports state. It appears that entry was gained to the facility by cutting the padlocks on the entry gate. Leaf blowers, saws and other items were taken. 

Fraud

A resident on the 100 block of 4th St. reported that he was the victim of an internet scam from Craigslist between April 25 and 26, police reports state.

Possesion of Drugs

Kyle Zbylut, 19, is being charged with possession of cannabis and a grinder, according to Wilmette Police reports. Zbylut was found by officers after they were checking on a suspicious auto and detected an odor of cannabis coming from the vehicle, police reports state. Zbylut was arrested, transported to the station, processed and released on bond.  

Burglary

A victim on the 400 block of Linden Ave. reported that someone had entered the storage area and removed items from it, police reports state. Fishing tackle and a camping lantern were taken from it. Other items were removed, but were located in the basement.

Disorderly Conduct

A vehicle driving on the 100 block of Heather Ave. reportedly threw a package of firecrackers at a victim and her son, police reports state. The vehicle was registered to Glenview. Officers responded to the address and spoke with the vehicle's owner. The owner told police that his 16-year-old son had the vehicle that evening. A juvenile officer followed up.
