Resident Hits Head on Ice, Fraud

Public Fall
A resident slipped and fell on an ice-covered sidewalk on the 600-block of Greenleaf Ave. and sustained a laceration to his head on Feb. 22, according to Wilmette Police reports. He was transported to Skokie hospital.
Theft

A 17-year old victim reported that he lost his wallet at Loyola Academy (1100 Laramie St.) on Feb. 23, Wilmette Police reports state. The victim later found that numerous attempts had been made to use his debit card in Chicago.

A neighbor of a resident on the 900 block of Yale Ave. reported that his neighbor's vehicle alarm was activated and he observed two subjects leaving th area of the vehicle on Feb. 24, Wilmette Police reports state. The neighbor attempted to chase the subjects but slipped on the ice and was unable to get close to them. No entry was gained to the vehicle.
Fraud
A resident on the 1200 block of Richmond reported that a subject had opened a JP Morgan Chase bank accounting, listing the victim as a co-signer to the account on Feb. 14, Wilmette Police reports state. He then transferred $4,000 from her account into a new account and withdrew and closed the account.
