Second Suspect Caught in 7-Eleven Burglary

A Grayslake man was arrested on Aug. 17, two days after the instance.

A second suspect has been arrested in connection to the armed robbery of the 7-Eleven in Wilmette last Thursday, Wilmette Police reports state.

Leroy Regan, 38, of Grayslake was arrested Sat. August 17 after fleeing from the scene. A K-0 from the Evanston Police Department tracked Regan down to the 500 block of Knox Ave., and a canvass of that area produced a witness who was able to provide a description of Regan's getaway car.

Wilmette detectives followed up on leads from similar cases in Lake County, which resulted in the identification of Regan. He was identified in a line-up and made statements implicating himself in the robbery.

Regan has been implicated in seven similar instances of armed robbery in Lake County since August 5.

A second suspect, Jeffrey Valentine, was arrested in a foot chase with a police officer after the robbery
