Student Hurt By Tennis Ball Hurled at Bus Stop

The Regina High School student was hurt while standing on Lake Ave.

A Regina High School student was injured when she was hit by a tennis ball thrown at her while she was standing at a bus stop.

The girl was waiting for the bus around 3 p.m. Tuesday on Lake Ave at Romona Road when a black SUV drove by and someone inside threw a tennis ball at her, which hit her in the face. She needed medical treatment for cuts to her face and the impact on her right eye, police said. Her glasses were also broken.
