Police Respond to Prowler Call in Wilmette

The following arrest information was provided by the Wilmette Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Theft

A resident reported that her billfold went missing after she used the copier at the Wilmette Public Library (1242 Wilmette Ave.) on March 7, Wilmette Police reports state.

Officers responded to a report of a prowler on the 400 block of Sunset Rd. Two intoxicated minors were located, police reports state. Further investigation revealed that there had been a party at another home on the block earlier. A third minor at that home was intoxicated. All three were charged with minor consumption of alcohol and turned over to their parents. 

Lost/Stolen

A Skokie resident reported that her laptop was missing after she visited with a friend on the 800 block of Lavergne Rd. on March 9, police reports state. She was unsure whether she left the laptop on the roof of her car and drove off, or if the item was stolen. 

Commercial Burglary

Officers respopned to J.P. McCarthy's Pizza and Grill (509 4th St.) for a burglary to the business, Wilmette Police reports state. Money was taken from the register. It appears the offender knew the alarm code and used a key to gain entry. 

Lost Property

A resident on the 2000 block of Schiller St. reported that she had lost or misplaced her driver's license since 2-19-13, police reports state. She is flying on March 11 and the TSA advised her to file a report. 

Suspended Driver's License, Suspended Plates

Gregorio Salinas, 31, of North Chicago is being charged with driving with a suspended driver's license and driving with plates that have been suspended for an insurance violation, Wilmette Police reports state. Salinas was pulled over on the 100 block of Skokie for a traffic violation, and was later released on an I-bond.
