Thief Steals $14K in Electronics from School, Advises It Lock Its Doors

The school says its doors were, indeed, locked.

A thief took off with $14,500 in electronics from the Baker Demonstration School this week and left behind a note on a dry-erase board that read, “Lock yo doors.”

The person entered the school on Sheridan Road between 12:30 p.m. May 26 and 7:30 a.m. May 27, taking computers, cameras and calculators, Wilmette police said.

The thief left notes in two rooms on the dry-erase board, the one about locking doors and another that said “Who made you Bo$$.”

A school official told police that the school was, indeed, locked, though police say there is no sign of forced entry.

Police are reviewing surveillance video of the front door for more information.

That's hilarious. This one should get points for the community service they did.
