Water Main Break Prompts Traffic Alert
Wilmette police issued the alert early Thursday evening.
The following is a traffic alert from the Wilmette Police:
Water main breaks were reported overnight at Lake & Hibbard and Lake and Skokie.
As a result, east-bound Lake Avenue at Skokie Boulevard has been reduced to one lane. Please avoid this intersection, especially in rush hour due to traffic back-ups and increased travel times. The Village is waiting for Com Ed to complete its work prior to this lane being opened.
