Wilmette Blotter: Two Marijuana Possession Arrests
The following information was supplied by the Wilmette police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
Marijuana possession
Jeffrey C. Gianakopaulos, 19, of Niles was arrested for marijuana possession after he was stopped for failing to use his turn signal at 4:14 p.m. Jan. 8 in the 400 block of Oakwood Avenue.
David S. Pracht, 23, was arrested for marijuana possession at 12:50 p.m. Jan. 5 at Keay Nature Learning Center. When a police officer asked him what he was doing in the park, he allegedly said he was going to use a cigar to make a blunt and showed the officer a jar containing marijuana.

Criminal damage to property
John R. Doepel, 21, of Winnetka was arrested for criminal damage to property at 1:29 p.m. Jan. 5 in the 100 block of Greenbay Road after he slashed the tire of a vehicle belonging to an acquaintance.

Suspended license
Daniel Torres, 23, of Wheeling was arrested for driving on a suspended license and without insurance at 9:30 p.m. Jan. 9 in the 1100 block of Wilmette Avenue.
Michelle T. Tran, 20, of Chicago was arrested for driving on a suspended license after she was stopped for speeding at 7:13 p.m. Jan. 8 in the 700 block of Linden Avenue. She was also charged with disregarding a stop sign.
