Wilmette Man Charged With Soliciting a Minor Girl, Police Say

Police say a 63-year-old Wilmette man agreed to meet, provide alcohol and do various sexual acts with what he believed was a minor girl.

A 63-year-old Wilmette man faces felony charges of indecent solicitation of a minor after he agreed to do various sexual acts with what he believed was a minor girl, according to police. 

Police arrested Michael R. Rosenberg, 63, of the 400 block of Linden Avenue, following an online investigation by Wilmette Police between Wednesday, March 27, and Thursday, March 28. 

During that time, Rosenberg allegedly agreed to perform various sexual acts with what he believed to be a minor girl, and provide her with alcohol, according to police.

Detectives set up a meeting at Rosenberg’s home on Thursday, March 28, when they took him into custody, police said.

Rosenberg appeared in bond court on Friday, March 29, and was released on a personal recognizance bond of $20,000, according to police. He is set to appear in Cook County Circuit Court in Skokie on Monday, April 22, at 1:30 p.m.
