Wilmette Monday Blotter: Trespassers Smoked Cigarettes in Unlocked Vehicle
The two suspects entered two vehicles Wednesday evening and Thursday morning, but took no property.
Attempted Residential Burglary: On Dec. 3 a resident of a condo near the 1600 block of Sheridan Rd. reported a potential burglarly attempt that occured within the last four weeks. The offender(s) tried to pry open the front door of the condo, according to the resident.
Auto Burglary: Between the late evening of Dec. 4 and morning of Dec. 5 two automobile burglaries were reported to police. A homeowner on the 2100 block of Chestnut Ave. reported that a purse was taken at midnight from their car parked in the driveway. The homeowner reported hearing breaking glass, and seeing a dark-colored vehicle leaving the area, according to police reports. The other reported offense was a stereo being stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 2100 block of Lake Ave.
Between Dec. 1 and Dec. 2 loose change was taken from two unlocked cars and a garage in the 100 block of Prairie Ave.

Criminal Auto Trespassing: Between the evening of Dec. 1 and morning of Dec. 2 suspects entered two vehicles in the 400 block of Prairie Avenue and smoked cigarettes. The intruders didn't take any property, according to police.
