Wilmette Police Blotter: Burglary, Theft, DUI

Burglary to Auto

The front passenger window of a vehicle was broken while parked in the lot at Carson Pirie Scott, 3232 Lake Ave. A duffle bag and two cosmetic bags were stolen from the car. The loss is estimated at $1,200, police said.

Burglary

Lumber and several tools valued at $1,000 were stolen from Perkowitz Window Fashions, 135 Green Bay Rd., sometime between May 21 and 24.

Theft

A girl’s bike valued at $75 was stolen from the 700 block of Ridge Road during the overnight hours between May 28 and 29.

A yard light valued at $50 was stolen from the 1400 block of Forest Avenue sometime between May 28 and 29.

A person driving a Mercedes Benz white panel van drove off without paying for $11.38 worth of gas at BP Amoco, 840 Skokie Blvd, according to police report.

Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol

Morgane Farlet, 20, 21 Woodley Rd., Winnetka, was arrested May 30 for driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop near Green Bay Road and Winnetka Avenue. She had a blood alcohol content level of .115, police said.  She was later released on an I-bond.

Latham Riley Bell, 39, 401 N. Newstead Ave., St. Louis, Mo., was charged May 30 with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop n the 2700 block of Glenview Road. The driver was asleep in the driver’s seat, according to police. He was later released on an I-bond.
